Prop Activator Controller Tutorials and Demo

Prop Activator Controller — Tutorials and Demo

Learn how to set up and use the Prop Activator Controller to control your Halloween animatronics from Home Depot, Lowe's, and Spirit Halloween. These video tutorials cover every trigger method — step pads, motion sensors, remote controls, and TryMe buttons — plus advanced features like sequential timing and manual mode.

Prop Activator Controller introduction

Use a step pad to activate your store-bought Halloween animatronics with the Prop Activator Controller. Connect animatronics using regular 3.5mm audio cables — compatible cables are available on Amazon (linked on the product page).

Prop Activator Controller with Motion Sensor

Connect a PIR motion sensor to the Prop Activator Controller for hands-free, automatic triggering. Walk-by activation is ideal for Halloween displays, yard haunts, and porch setups where no one is pressing a button.

Prop Activator Controller with Remote Control

Trigger your Halloween animatronics from across the room using the wireless remote control and the Prop Activator Controller. Perfect for live scare performances or activating props from a hidden position.

Prop Activator Controller with TryMe Button — Sequential and Random Mode

Use TryMe buttons or step pad inputs to control Halloween animatronics from Home Depot, Lowe's, or Spirit Halloween. This demo shows both Sequential Mode (props fire in order) and Random Mode (props fire in random sequence) on the Prop Activator Controller.

Prop Activator Controller — 1 Sec Duration vs Full Duration

Understanding the difference between the two duration settings on the Prop Activator Controller:

  • 1 Sec Duration — the prop output is active for 1 second only, plus your assigned timer delay
  • Full Duration — the prop output stays active for the entire timer duration

Prop Activator Controller Manual Mode — Home Depot Skelly Dialogue

In Manual Mode, the Prop Activator Controller gives you up to 10 programmable steps. Assign any of the 5 prop outputs (Prop 1–5) to each step with individual timers. Manual Mode can run on a loop or be triggered by a sensor input. This demo shows two Home Depot Ultra App Skellys talking to each other using a custom Manual Mode sequence.
